Character transfer applications for Asia-Pacific servers

As per SWTOR.com

"Today we are excited to announce that from now until April 24, 2012, 2:01PM AEST, 4:01PM NZST, 12:01PM HKT, 12:01PM SGT, qualifying players in the Asia Pacific territories who purchased Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ prior to the game’s official launch in their region will be able to transfer their characters, for free, to a locally-hosted server!"

Though don't get too excited as these are merely applications.

The transfers won't begin until the 24th of this month. Expect to be locked out of ALL characters on both the server you are transferring from and the server you are transferring to. The lockout window is expected to be up to 3 hours, after which you will receive an email informing you that the transfer is complete.

Announcement on the official forums this morning,

"BioWare and LucasArts are excited to announce that Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ will officially launch in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore on March 1st, 2012! Fans in these regions who purchase the game will be able to experience their very own Star Wars™ saga on regional servers. Players who have already begun their journey will also have a limited-time opportunity to migrate their characters from their current servers to Asia Pacific servers after the launch on March 1st, giving them the chance to take advantage of the decreased network latency by playing on a regional server. All players who qualify for a character transfer will be notified in early March with more details."

Steven Reid has made several comments that the severs will be located on Australian Soil, hinting at either Melbourne or Sydney, though has not been forthcoming with specifics.

There has yet to be any details on Legacy levels carrying over.

Ausgamers have posted an interview with Grant McDaniel, Senior Development Director of Live Services, that discusses the local launch next month.

Significant Nightmare EV Progression

Cry Havoc managed to breeze through the first 4 bosses of Nightmare Mode EV tonight, with only SOA proving illusive. Apart from some bugs on the Pillars we progressed quickly and efficiently through, however Bioware decided not to reward our efforts with loot on 3 of the bosses. With our progression proceeding so rapidly we will probably move on to Nightmare Kragga's Palace this coming week.

SOA down in Hard Mode Eternity Vault

We successfully downed SOA in EV on Sunday night (yes I'm a slow news poster!!), this is a pretty big achievement for a guild that only started doing Operations in the last two weeks. A big congrats to everyone involved. We now move on to doing Nightmare Modes, which requires a step up for all of us.

I have got raw Fraps footage of the kill which hopefully I will have time to put into a video in the near future.

Cry Havoc conquers Kragga's Palace

Over two nights Cry Havoc progessed deeply into the endgame PvE content of SWTOR. Despite some pesky bugs (thanks Pillars) we achieved a full clear of Kragga's Palace on Hard Mode and cleared 4/5 bosses in Eternity Vault on Hard Mode.

Bugs prevented us from gaining loot on several bosses, but Ronahin recieved a awesome looking helm.
